위의 근사식을 나름대로 해석해보면,

delta x =1 이면, x=1000 입장에서는 delta x -> 0 과 비슷하니, 첫번째 '물결등호' 가 성립한다.

(뒤의 등호들은 delta x =1 단순 대입.) 라고 해석이 된다.

 

그런데, 마지막 줄  1000m (또는 1001m) 를 생산하는 데 드는 비용은 약 9달러이다. 부분은 너무 뜬금없다. 변화율을 따지고 있다가 갑자기 생산하는 데 드는 비용 을 9달러라고 해버린다..

 

주제넘지만, 오타 또는 번역과정에서의 실수가 아닐까 생각해본다 ㅠ

But I don't understand the next part.

If we interpret the above approximate equation in our own way,

If delta x =1, from the perspective of x=1000, it is similar to delta x -> 0, so the first 'wave equal sign' is established.

(The equal signs behind it are interpreted as delta x =1 simple assignment.)

However, the part 'the cost to produce 1000m (or 1001m) is approximately $9' in the last line is so unexpected. While considering the rate of change, they suddenly say that the cost of production is $9.

It's presumptuous, but I think it might be a typo or a mistake during the translation process.
